Lime Walk, a development by Network Housing group was a winner at the London Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2016.
Based on Brook Avenue, 111 new homes were built on a disused car park next to Wembley Park Tube station, Lime Walk has won Best Development in the Affordable Homes Sector.
Though, residents of Brook Avenue overwhelmingly opposed the planning permission for this development saying
since the removal of the ‘high rise’ from Chalk hill estate, the plan is just to relocate the estate to another location, this being brook avenue.
And
This will severely impact the resale of our properties as who wants to buy a property with a high-rise flats facing them
And there’s more
The increased amount of litter will affect the area. The development of the wooded area will certainly impact on Pargraves Court as much of it is behind us and this will make us more vulnerable to burglary.

The Barn Hill Residents Association also ran a campaign to block the development on the basis that there’s already too much housing in Brent.
