A new food market opens at Wembley Park

For those of you who can remember the Wembley Sunday Market, you might be interested in a Wembley Wednesday Food Market.

Wembley Park has partnered with London Farmers Market’s new venture called Foodshed, to bring a new weekly food market to the area.

‘Over 25 stalls every Wednesday, from gourmet pies and vegetarian curries to rare breed bacon butties and homemade cakes. Fresh produce including fruit, seasonal vegetables, bread, cheese and meat.’

Gary Bell, Wembley Park’s Head of Commercial, said;
“We’re really looking forward to opening the Wembley Park Food Market. This market is designed to enhance the experience of living and working in the area, as well as to provide a stop-off for visitors and shoppers. The market will have a great variety of food and fresh produce and we hope it will encourage people to pop down on Wednesdays and get something different for lunch. It’s wonderful to see people making use of the great open spaces around Wembley Park to have picnics and to gather and enjoy their surroundings, and we hope the market will encourage this.”

Mark Handley from FoodShed said:
“We’re delighted to be welcomed to Wembley Park, and aim to bring a quality food market to the heart of Wembley. We are excited to be bringing a range of high quality food stalls to Wembley Park and providing an alternative lunch and food destination in the area.”

Wembley Park Food Market is on Market Square, just off Olympic Way, where the old market used to be.
