Noisy fountain pump (Forum House)

Am I the only one that hears the fountain’s pump more than the actual water?

Water noise is nice… the pump’s whistling isn’t. The difference is even more noticeable from inside, where I almost can’t hear the water but I still hear the pump.

I don’t remember the old fountain being so noisy. Maybe they should switch it off during the night?

  • I agree, water noise is nice but sorry to hear that the pump is ruining it for you. What have LRM got to say about it? If the fountain needs a new part, from experience, I can assure you it could take a whole year to be resolved. Maybe turning it off at night is a good idea?

  • I am right next to the fountain and thought last night the noise was more from the rain. I have to admit that I think the pump previously was alot more noisy as I couldnt open my windows at night. Last night I had my both windows open and the only noises that bothered me were the side gate slamming or the ground floor gates squeaking. Maybe it is because it has been off for so long that you are not used to the noise.
