WEMBLEY CITY RESIDENTS SURVEY

You are invited to take part in a research study to help us understand what you feel about your home at Wembley City.

What is the purpose of this research study? This study will investigate the factors that might affect energy use and comfort in your home and explore the role new buildings can play in reducing energy and resource consumption. We also want to understand your feelings about the local Wembley City area and the regeneration that is taking place.

Why take part in the study? By taking part you will contribute towards a greater understanding of how people use and feel about their homes. It is also an opportunity for you to give feedback on the design and comfort of your home and the local neighbourhood. You will be kept informed of the outcomes of the study. It is your choice whether to take part in the survey or not. If you want to take part, please email me for another copy of the survey or contact your Concierge. If you have any questions you would like answered before taking part please email me at: s [dot] godinho [dot] 11 [at] ucl.ac.uk

Is the survey confidential? This survey is completely anonymous and all information that is collected during this project will be kept strictly confidential. The project is registered under section 19 of the Data Protection Act. Collected survey information will not be made available to third parties. The remaining information that we collect will be held separately from personal data files, and will not enable you to be identified.

Who is organizing the research? What will happen to the results? Sara Lopes Godinho is conducting the research as part of her dissertation for a MSc at UCL. The research has been approved by UCL. The results of this research project will be used to expand the existing body of evidence on housing conditions. Research papers on particular aspects of the study may be published in reputable Academic Journals by UCL. In all publications in any way it will be possible to identify you. This is a standard way of informing fellow researchers and others while respecting your confidentiality. If you would like copies of these documents then please contact Dr. Hector Altamirano-Medina in the first instance (details below).

What do I do with the completed survey? Once completed please place it in the provided UCL marked envelope and return it sealed to the box located in the concierge’s desk at the building’s entrance by 1st July.
