Managing Agents Deliver 24 hr Concierge

Finally the marketing literature prophecy has come true. When buying our flat we were sold it thinking a 24 hr concierge would be there as advertised. It’s taken over a year for this to happen, but better late than never; we’re pleased.

  • Hi all,
Surely we are all pleased with 24 hours concierge however let’s see if we will still be pleased when the revised service charges increase because of the concierge 24 hours. First of all I think LRM should have asked the residents if we are willing to pay for this extra service. They sell properties promissing someone 24 hours as concierge e now after almost 2 yesr we will have one and we have to pay from our pockets. I personally don’t agree with this.

Hope you all think the same as soon the bill will arrive.

  • I am happy and re the service charge – We now have two more members of staff so the combined annual cost for them should be around 50-60k at most (with salaries, pension contributions, etc.). There are 235 flats in the building so the average SC increase per flat should be around 20 pounds per month to cover the cost. Everything more than this would be too much.

  • I agree with all three of you and there seems to be differences in the increases depending on your service provider; it would be good to compare at some point.

Thanks to everyone who has blogged on here for the past year and a half campaigning for what was originally promised; we got it in the end and well done!

  • Not an acceptable one, we are currently scrutinising the service charge estimate and awaiting a breakdown. Our neighbourhood rep has informed us that some services are being reviewed and as a result a refund would be issued should any mistakes be uncovered.
