This weekend I went to use the dry recycle Envac waste bin. Upon opening the door to the shoot, I encountered a carrier bag of rubbish, that had got stuck. A blockage had occurred from an overly filled bag, unable to freely fall down the shoot.
I think the state the bin was left in is very inconsiderate to other residents. Surely dividing the contents into two bags would not be too much to ask for.
Thanks for sharing your experience 🙂 I have come across a similar situation. I once pulled the bag out of the shoot and removed some of the rubbish so that the bag could go down. I don’t see why I should do other peoples work?
It’s very rare that I come across these situations usually residents of Quadrant Court leave the bins in good keep.
Firstly I would like to say, the Envac Waste System is brilliant! I am a happy resident of a forward thinking development. Today, there is a need that recycling needs to be mandatory and we can all work together to build a better environment. Thanks also for posting the picture, hopefully it wont be long to go before everyone gets the hang of it. I understand that mistakes will be made as shown in the picture, but surely this will get better (by the way, it wasn’t me :)).
